Before I bore you with heaps of biographical information, I just have to share this, what I'm really all about:
As a teenager, I came to know Jesus.
Like, really know Him.
The Jesus who said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
The Jesus who died on a cross next to two criminals, yet had mercy on a sinner.
The One who forgives.
The One who rose from the grave, and also raises us up from stale, dead existence, to life and freedom.
The Prince of Peace.
The Great I Am.
The Light of the World.
The Lamb of God.
The Bread of Life.
Following Jesus is nothing short of miraculous.
And this is my story.
Thanks for taking a moment to share in it.

I am a mama of THREE wild and crazy kids.
I could tell lots about how uber talented and funny he is, about all the utterly riciculous things he's done in the name of youth ministry (which may include shaving his head and sledding on pavement while attached to a moving vehicle), about his amazing dad-ness and husband-ness, but, really I think the most important thing I could say about him is that he has a heart the size of Texas and is one compassionate, God-fearing man. Journeying this life with him is so very sweet.Life here in our home is a little crazy. When I'm not chasing three little ones around, or changing one of their diapers, or wiping peanut butter off their mouths (or off the kitchen floor), I love scrapbooking, repurposing, up cycling, crafting, organizing, pinning, decorating, and making our nut house into a cozy home. If you care to know more about some of these other interests, you can check out SummitStreetJoy, where I blog about some of these homemaking hobbies. I hope you'll visit and follow me there, too :)
I am also a part-time social worker for a private foster care agency, recruiting and training interested foster parents. And I'm pretty passionate about it :) Because I believe it matters. Building strong families matter. Caring for the orphaned among us matters. Actually, the Bible says alot about it. So I'm grateful to be a part of bringing the lonely into families in this very small way.
Certainly, this life I'm living is not what I had planned. It didn't really all turn out the way I would have done it. But, I am learning to be embrace what God has entrusted to me. You won't have to read far on this blog to know this is the space where I will openly struggle through the joys and pains of my unexpected life.
So, that's the overview of my little life. It is 100% a work in progress. But He who promised IS faithful!
Will you join me in sharing life? In being vulnerable? In walking through the seasons with the One who is faithful?
